 Losing Color? Hair products with alcohol tend to open up the cuticle causing dry hair and color wash-out. I would suggest a leave-in conditioner prior to applying styling for moisture. The reason behind using silicone is when it is heated up it's pliable, and when it's dry it's flexible so you won't cause hair breakage. This one sounds strange, but washing your hair everyday leads to premature fading of your hair color.
Lighten up on your shampooing as much as you can, and try to shampoo only every other day, for your hair's sake! On alternate days, just apply a lite conditiner, keeping in mind the cooler the water the better for your hair. Why you ask?
